Need Some Advice

Hello Fellow Scooter Bloggers,

We have a small problem. Our condo garage has issued decals for all vehicles in our garage. The decals are made to stick on the inside of an auto window so that they are viewed properly from the outside. We do not have windshields on our scooters so we are wondering where we attach such decals. We have looked online for something that might be especially designed for scooters, like badge holders that stick on, but did not find anything. It has to be something with a transparent window so that the decal will show thru. We would appreciate all your suggestions.

Oh and by the way. We changed our email address for our account at Modern Vespa Message Board and got locked out. We have emailed them several times and no response so we cannot even post this request on the message board for assistance. Anybody got an "in" with Modern Vespa Message Board?

Thanks already! HeinznFrenchie

I don't mean to be obtuse, but a windscreen would solve your problem. They'd keep the bugs off, right? And you don't have to get the gigantic one, either. There's a yellow LX 150 in the window at Vespa Seattle with the medium Vespa LX windscreen and matching top case that looks quite nice. Other companies make windscreens for LXs; check Scooterworks and Scooterwest/Motorsport Scooters under "LX Accessories."

Otherwise, get some clear plastic, apply the sticker to it, and attach the plastic in a secure, visible location. Ask your condo association for guidance on where and how to attach the sticker.

If you don't mind taking it off when you are riding and then applying it when you park, some of the badge holders I have seen come with what's called a "bulldog clip" - you could probably securely clip the holder on your mirror shaft when parked.

Here is what I was thinking of -

The vinyl "loop" appears to have a clasp so that it could be secured to your mirror.

Hello Orin,
We appreciate your suggestion regarding the windscreens, but we were looking for something quick, easy and cheap. We had inquired into Vespa windscreens for both of the Vespas and decided that $500 was a bit steep at this time. We may consider them in the future.

John, Borders Independent Living was the perfect link and we have already ordered two of the holders. Thanks so much. Great idea!

Lance we looked into the badge holder but decided it was not what we needed. Thanks so much for your suggestion.
